SYNOPSIS

At the heart of the Anatolian plateau, lies an underground living space in an extraordinary and phantasmagorical setting. Here, nature offers the full range of the mineral labyrinth. Cappadocia offers an unparalleled geological and architectural setting in which cave-dwelling settlements reached their highest peak: the early Christians found refuge there, sculpting churches and secret dwellings from the volcanic tuff. What remains of this cave-dwelling culture that somehow still survives today? What remains of such ancient history and tradition in these times of mass tourism?
