SYNOPSIS

The college of Brackenhurst caters for both boarders and non-residential pupils. It is situated in a very beautiful natural sanctuary with a great variety of flowers and ancient and rare trees. For over 50 years, the institution has offered a series of courses related to agricultural work, horticulture, development of the countryside, and veterinary training. It also offers equestrian studies: care of horses, management, riding lessons, competition... Equestrian studies are particular in that they often cater for young people with problems. Handicapped students are supported by special educational methods where the relationship between the person and the animal plays a fundamentally therapeutic role. Delinquents on rehabilitation programmes are trained as grooms for example. This is an environment where man and his oldest companion live in perfect harmony, with sensitivity and nobility.
